Collaboration. Advocacy. Facilitation. Solutions.
This idea has been at the heart of Open Arms from the beginning.
We believe people grow when they have opportunities to experience more, try something different, build new skills, make connections, ask for help, learn what works, and sometimes figure out what doesn’t.
But access to those opportunities is not always easy. Sometimes people need someone to help them navigate a system, advocate beside them, learn a new skill, find the right resource, or simply figure out what comes next.
That is where Open Arms CAFS comes in.
Our work has grown over the years, but the heart behind it has stayed the same. We work alongside individuals, families, professionals, and organizations to create opportunities for learning, connection, independence, and meaningful growth.
There is no single path that works for everyone. We meet people and organizations where they are, look at what is already working, identify what may be getting in the way, and work together to find practical ways forward.

You know your life, your family, your work, or your organization better than we ever could. Our job is not to come in and tell you how everything should be done. We work alongside you, bringing together your experience, strengths, needs, and goals with practical strategies and professional support.

Sometimes knowing what you need is only half the battle. Figuring out systems, finding resources, asking the right questions, and making sure your voice is heard can be overwhelming. We help people better understand their options, communicate their needs, access resources, and navigate the systems around them.

Not every problem needs the same answer. We look at what is happening, what matters to you, what has already been tried, and what is realistic in everyday life. From there, we work together to develop practical solutions that can actually be used outside of a meeting, training, or session.

Growth often needs somewhere to start. We help create opportunities for people to learn, practice, problem-solve, connect, and build confidence. This may happen through individual support, groups, caregiver education, professional training, supervision, consultation, or work with an entire team.
Support doesn't look the same for everyone. We work with individuals, parents, caregivers, and families to navigate challenges, build skills, access resources, and create more opportunities for independence and growth.

Learning doesn't stop when you earn a degree or step into a professional role. We provide opportunities for professionals to strengthen their skills, think through challenging situations, and continue growing through training, supervision, education, and consultation
Sometimes the problem isn't the person—it's the system around them. We work with organizations and teams to better understand what is happening, identify barriers, strengthen staff performance, and develop practical solutions that work in the real world.
